In this week's episode I am chatting with producer Andy Reed, who is not only an award winning producer, but a talented musician and songwriter. We discuss Andy's approach to recording and how working with Brendan Benson, of The Raconteurs, gave him the inspiration to pursue a recording career of his own.
You can find more information about Andy's studio, the Reed Recording Company, here:

One of the things I love about hosting this podcast is getting the opportunity to talk with absolute studio legends, and you don't get more legendary than Muscle Shoals bassist David Hood.
Hood has played on countless hit records with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon, Julian Lennon, JJ Cale, Lulu, Etta James and so, so many more.
In this episode David Hood discusses what inspired him to take up the bass, life working in one of the busiest studio rhythm sections and the decision to leave Fame studios and start Muscle Shoals Sound Studios.

Alan White needs no introduction. In this episode Alan discusses his journey from playing Beatles covers in the North East of England to playing drums with John Lennon and George Harrison on some of pop music's most seminal albums. All that before having a hugely successful career as the longest running member of the band 'Yes'. An amazing conversation to be part of, I hope you enjoy it.

Colin Elliot is one of the few producers I have worked with who seems to retain, for want of a better word (or words), a real natural, organic, vintage, human feel to the way he works. Here Colin opens up about his getting started in recording, his philosophy on production and why gear doesn't matter.
Admittedly, I've said this about all my guests, but Colin really is lovely human being, and I hope you enjoy this conversation!
