Episode #52 Colin Blunstone - Lead singer of The Zombies talks recording at Decca Studios, Abbey Road and his incredible debut solo album ‘One Year‘
Colin Blunstone is the lead singer of the legendary band 'The Zombies' and an acclaimed solo artist in his own right. In this episode, we talk about what it was like recording 'She's Not There' in 1964 at Decca Studios, and what it was like recording 'Odessey And Oracle' in Abbey Road just as The Beatles finished recording 'Sgt. Pepper's...' in 1967. We talk about how he almost quit the music business after Odessey And Oracle flopped (despite it going on to become one of the most celebrated albums of the 60s) and the recording of his incredible debut album 'One Year' in 1970.
